Laura Alonso, spokesperson for the government of the City of Buenos Aires and candidate for legislator for the PRO, has criticized Manuel Adorni, candidate for La Libertad Avanza (LLA), for not presenting proposals during the campaign. According to Alonso, Adorni would be "a little PlayStation puppet" and lacks projects for the City.
"It would be good for him to visit the neighborhoods," expressed Alonso in reference to Adorni during a radio interview. This criticism adds to the tension between LLA and PRO. The spokesperson for Jorge Macri's administration clarified that the possible alliance between the two was suggested by Karina Milei from the Presidential Secretariat, and it is unknown at what stage this "fusion" is.
Laura Alonso also recalled a prior clash with Adorni, where he questioned the PRO's management and claimed that their model in the City of Buenos Aires had "expired." In response, Alonso firmly replied: "Honestly, I don't know what story you believe, but you sound quite arrogant, Manuel. We know very well everything we have done for this country. And most importantly: the people know it too."
Alonso warned that if Adorni intends to implement budget cuts in the City, the porteƱos will turn their backs on him, as, according to her, he does not understand the local reality and its needs. This is not the first time they have faced each other, and the tension between the two political spaces continues to rise as the election date approaches.
